Founded in 1706, Albuquerque , is a city rich in tradition, culture and history with an amazing collection of things to do.

The city is known for its breathtaking scenery and gorgeous nature. The world’s largest aerial tram ride is in Albuquerque at the Sandia Peak Tramway, an excellent place to begin your trip to take in the landscape. Sandia Peak allows people to travel 2.7 miles to the 10,000-foot peak of the Sandia Mountains. On a day with good weather, this is a dazzling close-up view of all the astounding mountains and nature.

There is a restaurant and bar at the top of the mountain and you also have the option to mountain bike or hike if you want a first-hand experience.

Sticking with the outdoor theme, the Albuquerque Biological Park offers more magnificent nature fixtures, including the aquarium, Rio Grande Botanic Garden and Rio Grande Zoo. This peaceful experience is something the whole family can enjoy with a good variety of animals and plants.

After checking out those exhibits, the Petroglyph National Monument is worth the time, where you can see the nearly 15,000 prehistoric rock art images. You can look at the beautiful scenery while hiking along this 17-mile canyon.

The summer months offer fun activities, such as Cliff’s Amusement Park. The Park contains more than 23 rides, games of skill, arcades, as well as great food and souvenirs. It’s a great destination to bring the kids with the numerous attractions.

The rich cultural diversity of New Mexico has made Albuquerque a great destination for fabulous food. Depending on your preferences, there is food for everyone. Taste some of the finest New Mexico beef at the High Noon Restaurant and Saloon in Old Town, where you can experience fine dining in a casual setting.

The Artichoke Café, which is known for its gourmet meals, is a French bistro on Route 66, a historical location where you can view all the amazing scenery that Albuquerque has to offer.
