Despite its warm climate, Atlanta is one of the most visited cities in the United States for its rich tradition and endless activities.

Experience some excellent shopping at Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza, where there are plenty of specialty retailers, designer boutiques and luxury spots to choose from, including Saks Fifth Avenue, Cartier and Hermes.  If you want museum-quality art, check out the Bennett Street District where you can find some valuable antiques.

If you want to experience some of the rich culture Atlanta offers, there are year-round festivals to choose from. The well-liked ones are the Arts Festiva, the Book Festival on Labor Day Weekend and the Beach Party, while Midtown offers a multitude of year-round family-oriented festivals. Some popular ones include the Dogwood Festival, where visitors can enjoy arts and crafts while the native dogwoods are flourishing, and the Taste of Atlanta, where you can taste all of the cities best foods and drinks from the favorite restaurants.

To further experience the history of the city, Stone Mountain Park is a must see. It is home to the large piece of exposed granite in the world and the popular Lasershow Spectacular, a choreographed pyrotechnics display. The park offers an assortment of attractions with more than 3,200 acres of nature and scenic spots. There is plenty of lodging and camping for your convenience.

If you want to stay inside, there are plenty of stunning and intriguing museums. The World of Coca-Cola features a soda fountain from 1880, a 4-D theatre and a chance to taste nearly 70 different beverages from around the world. For an intrinsic experience, the Michael C. Carlos Museum is home to ancient objects from Nubia, Egypt, Greece and Rome. Additionally, special exhibitions and educational events provide stories of civilization.
