If there is a city that has gone through a big change, that is Atlanta. Incorporated in 1837 as a city of only 30 people, Atlanta has become one of the largest cities in the country with a total of over 6 million residents. Now visitors look for hotel rooms and motel rooms to get a taste of the city that became the cultural center of the region.

You may have seen the movie, Gone With The Wind which shows the history not only of Atlanta, but also the history of the early days of the country. History is something that the city does not lack as the home of the Cherokee tribe. Atlanta also is popular with the tourists because it was the birth place of perhaps the most important figure in American civil rights history: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

A lot of the visitors look for quality motels around the many exciting sports venues in the city. Atlanta has the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks, the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons, MLB’s Atlanta Braves as well as NASCAR’s Atlanta Motor Speedway. All those sports options can make the sports fans visiting Atlanta pretty busy. The locals are very proud of their teams and the visitors looking for motel lodging will have no trouble enjoying all these sports events.

Atlanta is also home of the world’s largest aquarium, the Georgia Aquarium, and its zoo has been on the news as one of the best places for fauna conservation in the country. Museums are some of the places that the city takes great pride on. There is the Atlanta History Center, the Natural History Museum (Fernbank Museum), and the High Museum of Art. As you can see there is a lot to learn in the city, so make sure that you look for the best place to stay in using and make your reservation.
