Australia Hotel Deals

Come down under to a different world of animals, landscapes and good times. Australia, home to kangaroos, the Outback wilderness, the aboriginal culture and friendly people, is one place you should put on your bucket list. But please, come long before that. The hotel prices are cheaper than you think, the coral reefs spectacular and the food on the Barbie is fabulous. Visit the Kakadu National Park, the Great Barrier Reef and Kangaroo Island. From the desert of the Red Center to the Australian Alps to the coastal beaches and large metropolitan cities, Australia is unforgettable. One visit and you\'ll want to boomerang back soon.

Sydney is the bustling harbor metropolis with the famous multi shell-like Opera House. But, venture into the older part of the city called the Rocks to find eateries, art galleries, pubs and shops along cobblestone streets. Take a ghost tour or browse the markets on the weekends. Stroll the Royal Botanical gardens. It is not far from low-priced hotels and the Harbour Bridge. Kayak or sail around the harbor to the urban islands or ferry to Manly on the other side to discover the beaches and more shopping, water sports and even the perfect place for a picnic.

Travel south to Melbourne, famous for its shopping districts and the Queen Victoria Market where you can find fresh everything. Chug a \"short black\" coffee to fuel yourself up for wandering the narrow lanes filled with quaint boutiques and one of a kind shops. Or head for the chic Brunswick Street stores. At night, take in a show of the Australian Ballet, dine in Chinatown or bar hop along Bourke Street and Little Collins. Then, there are the sports events to enjoy from soccer to tennis to horse races to grand prix style racing.

Brisbane in Queensland is another bustling harbor town. Perched on the meandering Brisbane River, it is one of the largest in Australia. Tour the river on a steam paddleboat then head for the coast and Moreton Bay to snorkel along the reef, or go deep sea fishing. Slide down the world\'s tallest sand dune. Rent bikes and ride along the walkway that floats. See koalas and kangaroos in Lone Pine. Then return to your reasonably priced motel and spend the evening at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre.
