Georgia Overview

The state of Georgia has a mild climate most of the year but can be very hot during July and August and very cold in December and January. This historical state offers much in the area of architecture, sports, entertainment and more. The Northern region of the state is comprised of the Blue Ridge Mountains and almost any city you visit will have a story to tell. You will no doubt enjoy Savannah’s old-southern architectural buildings as well as Augusta’s notable history. GA is said to be one of the fastest growing states with many thanks to its metropolitan Atlanta.

Atlanta is the largest city within GA, serves as the capital city and is the heart of the state. Downtown Atlanta houses great attractions for all its welcomed tourists including the Georgia Aquarium, said to be the largest aquarium in the world. Centennial Olympic Park build exclusively for the 1996 Olympics is now a 21-acre public park. Visitors and natives alike will enjoy strolling through Underground Atlanta. The newly constructed Atlantic Station is full of places to shop and dine. Other famous venues to add to your list of places to visit in Atlanta include World of Coca-Cola, the CNN Center and Turner Field. The state also boasts several historical colleges and universities including Georgia Institute of Technology, Morehouse College, Spellman College and the University of Georgia.
