Indianapolis Overview

Welcome to the capital of Indiana. Home of the famous Indianapolis 500 and the great tradition of Hoosier Basketball. With a population of around 790,000 people this city has many sports fanatics. Arts and culture thrive in Indianapolis with six distinct cultural districts. In these districts, you can find stunning displays of art in unique art galleries, museums that echo our country’s history, places to shop and recreational activities to keep you busy while visiting. The districts also showcase professional sports, including basketball, football and musical performances also. Indianapolis is the home of the Indianapolis Colts and the Pacers, so you can enjoy your fair share of sports entertainment during your visit.

The city is most notably known for The Indy 500 racecar extravaganza. The Canal and White River State Park are the doorways to the world-class Indianapolis Zoo. The NCAA Hall of Champions is located here as well.
