Known for the flavorful Mint Julep drink, Kentucky is only one of four U.S. States given the distinction of being named a Commonwealth. Also known as the “Bluegrass State,” named so for the many lawns and pastures throughout the State. Kentucky has a climate which is humid with warm summers and cool winters.

Kentucky is widely known for thoroughbred horses, the Kentucky Derby, Bourbon, Bluegrass Music and college Basketball. With a population of over 4 million people this State is the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln and Muhammad Ali. Kentucky also has the World’s Longest Cave System.
