Lincoln Overview

Lincoln, the capital city of the state of Nebraska and the 2nd largest city in the state, is second only to Omaha. Lincoln has over 100 individual parks including Antelope Park which also contains the Lincoln Children's Zoo and the Sunken Gardens. Other parks include the Woods Park, Holmes Park, Oak Lake Park, Pioneers Park, Tierra Park, and Wilderness Park. There are sure a lot of parks for you to choose from when you visit! Exciting places of interest include Nebraska State Capitol a landmark skyscraper, Frank H. Woods Pioneer Telephone Museum, Joshua C. Turner Arboretum, National Museum of Roller Skating which also serves as the official office of the USA Roller Sports, and the Museum of Nebraska History. The city and state are also best known for the Nebraska Cornhuskers college football team. Pershing Auditorium is a famous venue for live music, so be sure to keep an ear open for any shows that may be taking place here while you visit.
