Bronx Overview
The Bronx borough brings its own diverse mix of culture, style and American tradition to the flavor and melting pot that is known as New York. Starting with the historical Yankee Stadium, which has been the home of many Yankee baseball games since 1923. The stadium is synonymous with the legendary Babe Ruth. As of 2006, a new Yankees stadium is being built and is slated for completion sometime in 2009. The Bronx was once home to Edgar Allan Poe and Mark Twain, and has bread recent celebs including Jennifer Lopez and Cuba Gooding Jr.
Popular attractions in the Bronx include the Bronx Zoo with over 4, 000 animals to see. There are numerous theaters that produce plays and stage festivals for your entertainment purposes. Check out the Bronx Museum of Art which reflects the ethnic and urban elements of the community as well as its surrounding. Other noteworthy attractions include The New York Botanical Gardens and Orchard Beach which is a popular meeting place for the boroughs residents especially in the summer time.
