Arlington Overview

Located 20 miles west of downtown Dallas, Arlington will be proud home of the new Dallas Cowboys stadium. The city was the site of the original Six Flags theme park which is still in operation. The University of Texas at Arlington is one of the three largest universities within the state of Texas which continues to serve as a valuable asset to the city. Things to do here include playing tennis at the Arlington Tennis Center, Palace of Wax and Ripley’s Believe It or Not offers double the fun. Legends of the Game is a baseball museum dedicated to the all American sport. For golfers, there is also the Tierra Verde Golf Club. Go boating, sailing, water skiing and fishing at Lake Arlington. Apart from the original Six Flags, there is also Six Flags Hurricane Harbor which features various park rides and the largest water raft ride in the country. You have to see it to believe it. There are a number of historical churches in the city as well as parks for the leisure strolling and jogging.
