Hotels near Grant's Farm in Saint Louis, MO

Grant’s Farm was once owned by the famous Civil War general Ulysses S. Grant, later president of the United States. Then, the Busch Dynasty bought it and made it their ancestral home. Today, and for the past fifty years, it has become a wholesome wonderland for the whole family. There are over 900 different kinds of animals on the farm, including the massive Clydesdale horses with their long white haired hooves. You can visit the stables and have your picture taken with them. Children will enjoy the petting farm with goats and other farm animals. Plus, there is a carousel to ride.

But, there is even more to do. See elephants perform or join in the Animal Encounter where trained guides show you birds and animals up close in the Tier Garten. Throughout the season, there are all sorts of events happening. Eat at the deli, snack at the Tier Garten, or enjoy the Brat Haus which features German cuisine. There is a General Store and the Xcursions Gift Shop filled with the perfect memorabilia or gifts you have been looking to buy. Grant’s Farm is open every day during the summer, and on weekends in the off season.
