Hotels near Westport - Chesterfield in Saint Louis, MO
There is so much to do outdoors west of downtown St. Louis. For indoor and outdoor recreational fun, you can easily spend the day at Chesterfield Sports Fusion. Naturalists will love the Busch Memorial Conservation Area, Weldon Spring Conservation Area and Dr. Edmund Babler Memorial Sate Park along the Missouri River. Enjoy both indoor and outdoor activities in Edgar M. Queeny County Park just to the south. Here you can ice skate, swim or indoor rock climb at the Greensfelder Rec. Complex in Ballwin. Outdoors, there are horse and hiking trails, hay rides, four small lakes and tennis courts.
There are also great shopping opportunities to the west. Plaza Frontenac has the upscale stores and world renowned department stores. Closer in, near Clayton, and midtown in between downtown and Chesterfield is the Boulevard and Brentwood Square with well known department stores and eateries.
Westport and this western section of the city have some interesting museums as well. Visit the Kemp Auto Museum with cars dating back to 1886. There is the first Missouri State Capitol Historic Site and the American Kennel Club's Dog Museum. The Holocaust Museum offers free admission.
